Below is the job description for this opening at the office of EUROACT Japan Ltd.

Job Description:
Act as agent in Japan for a group of suppliers from the Netherlands of equipment such as cryogenic tanks, heat exchangers, heat recovery steam generators, etc. for the petro-chemical and other industries, and for the electric power industry. Objective is to obtain supply contracts relating to international projects.

Activities

• Collect information about business opportunities in relation to new international contracts awarded to major Japanese EPC contractors
   
• Maintain close relationships with the procurement departments of these contractors, as well as with principals and the Netherlands Embassy
   
• Create opportunities to submit quotations, and facilitate the subsequent contact between the Japanese contractors and the Dutch principals up to successful signing of a contract, and delivery of the products

The successful applicant will report directly to the CEO of EUROACT Japan Ltd. but will have frequent interaction with principals in the Netherlands.

The office of EUROACT Japan Ltd. in located in Tokyo. Secretarial support is available.

This function can be structured part-time or full time, depending on success and workload.

Qualifications:

• Experience in procurement
• Relevant technical background preferred, but not essential
• Speaks the 'language' of plant engineering and procurement
• Effective communicator
• Fluency in written and spoken business English

Remuneration:
To be discussed after responsibilities and work hours are agreed, but with strong emphasis on contract-related success fee.
